The Supreme Committee for National Day Celebrations completed its preparations to celebrate the 43rd Glorious National Day 2013

sultanate-of-oman-logoThe committee finalized the decorations on the public roads, and installed the Sultanate’s flag from Muscat till Bait Al Barakah roundabout and on Muscat Expressway, besides putting up decorative lights from Muscat till Al Azaiba roundabout, in addition to decorations on the elevated bridges and pedestrian bridges. The decorative lights will be switched on from November 15.

Sheikh Siba’a bin Hamdan Al Sa’adi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for National Day Celebrations, said this year celebrations would include a military parade, in addition to firework shows in the governorates of Muscat and Dhofar.

The 43rd National Day holidays will fall on November 27 and 28 for the public and private sectors, according to decisions issued by H E Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and chairman of the Civil Service Council, and H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah al Bakri, Minister of Manpower. Work will resume on December 1 in both the sectors
