sydney-airport-logoSydney Airport has welcomed Tigerair’s announcement that it will launch a new Sydney-Adelaide service and increase its flights from Sydney to Brisbane and Melbourne.

Tigerair will begin its new daily Sydney-Adelaide service from 11 March 2014. It will also provide eight weekly additional flights from Sydney to Melbourne and up to seven weekly additional flights to Brisbane from late March next year.

Sydney Airport Chief Executive Officer, Kerrie Mather, welcomed the new and additional flights.

“We’re very pleased that Tigerair has chosen to increase the number of flights it offers from Sydney to other Australian capital cities by up to 22 flights per week, including a new daily service from Sydney to Adelaide,” Ms Mather said.

“These extra frequencies will provide an additional 300,000 seats per year on the important routes from Sydney to Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.

“This is great news for passengers, as an increase in flights will provide them with even more choice when travelling to and from Sydney Airport.”
