The Menus at the hotel reflect the increasing consciousness of the global trends in gastronomy that guests expect today and in its endeavor to offer world renowned cuisines from various parts of the globe Taj Falaknuma Palace is hosting “The Tuscan Food Festival” at Celeste. The Tuscany region is located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast and home to some of the world’s most notable wines.

Tuscan food is famous for homegrown produce whether it is truffles, mushrooms, olive oil, little wonder then that chefs at the palace have created small plate wonders using fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out the natural flavors in each dish. Some of the highlights on the menu are Tagliata di filetto (grilled tenderloin slices Tuscany style, rocket leaves, parmesan, chianti reduction) Gamberoni in crost di mandorle (king prawns crusted in almonds, orange fennel, coriander) Parmigiana di melanzan e zucchine (parmigiana baked eggplant and zucchini with tomato and mozzarella).

Chef Arun Sundararaj and his team of expert chefs have crafted a special menu that includes an extensive range of traditional delicacies from Tuscany. The menu includes an assortment of Antipasti s such as Panzanella fresca(cold salad with fresh vegetables, thyme, vinaigrette, pinenuts & bread) Pomodoro e mozzarella(classic caprese with fresh tomato, buffalo mozzarella & basil) Insalata di asparagi germogli aromatici, salsa alle carote,(fresh asparagus salad, micro greens and carrot sauce). Tuscans are particularly fond of their soups traditionally called Zuppe, on offer are Acqua cotta di pomodoro e verdure profumata al basilica (Traditional Tuscan soup with vegetables, tomato & basil), Zuppa di cereal ed erbe con crostone all aglio( cereal and fresh herb soup with garlic bread).

The Menu boasts of a wide selection of oven fresh Pizzas such as Ortolana (Assorted grilled vegetables, fresh basil) Pizza picante (Tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sweet onion) Funghi porcini e caprino (Porcini mushrooms, goat cheese, roasted garlic) Quattro formaggi (Gorgonzola, taleggio, grana padano and pecorino Toscano) Pizza quattro stagioni (Mozzarella, mushroom, tomato, artichoke, Italian ham) Diavola (Spicy salami, fresh chilli, tomato, mozzarella).

For the traditionalists on offer is an array of delectable Pasta’s such as Tajarin classic al 25 rossi con funghi porcini e rosmarino (Thin Pasta Tajarin with Porcini and Rosemary ) Tagliatelle alle verdure con funghi trifOLati e aceto balsamico di Modena (Tagliatelle sautéed vegetables, mushrooms, balsamic modena vinegar ) Tagliatelle con portebello, spinachi e pomodori secchi (Tagliatelle pasta, portebello mushrooms, green spinach, sundried tomatoes ) Maltagliati al nebbiolo con ragu di pollo e ricotta affumicata (Nebbiolo Maltagliati with Chicken Ragu and Smoked Ricotta ) Ravioli dI pollo, ricotta salata, pomodorini e rucola (Ravioli, smoked ricotta, cherry tomato, chicken jus, rocket salad )

A’ la carte menu is open for both lunch and dinner (12:00 pm to 2:45 pm and from 7.00 pm to 10.45 pm). The Festival dates: 18 to 24 January 24, 2015.
