THAI and Boeing Organized THAI’s Goodwill Flight

untitled-153-300x199Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and The Boeing Company together recently organized THAI’s 787 Goodwill Flight, whereby 21 boxes of donated medical supplies were handed over to Frontier Labourers for Christ in Chiang Mai.

 

Mrs. Petchpring Sarasin, THAI Vice President, Corporate Image and Communications Department, alongside Mr. Friedrich Wiest, Boeing representative, organized THAI’s 787 Goodwill Flight that transported 21 boxes of medical supplies from Project C.U.R.E. of the United States of America, which are used in providing first aid training to local leaders and given to people who complete training supervised by medical professionals.

 

These supplies, transported on THAI’s second Boeing 787 aircraft that was delivered at the end of 2014, were donated to Frontier Labourers for Christ in Chiang Mai which is a Christian non-profit organization.

 

Professor Jung Dangshing, Director of Frontier Labourers for Christ, received the shipment alongside a group of students, a community group that completed training, public health students, and representatives from the Karen, Lahu, Aka, Mien, Wa hill tribes that the organization conducts activities which consist of approximately 100 people.

Furthermore, THAI and Boeing delivered 1,000 blankets donated by Another Joy Foundation of the United States of America.

 

These blankets were transported by THAI’s 17th Boeing 777-300ER, which was delivered to THAI in January 2015.

 

The blankets will be donated to The Girl Guides Association of Thailand under The Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, Chiang Mai and underprivileged communities located far from modern civilization at Sub-Northern Training Center, Girl Guides Association of Thailand Wieng Pa-Pao, Chiang Rai.

 

The donation was received by citizens and students in Tambol Sansali District, Wieng Pa Pao that consisted of 13 communities and eight schools. Chao Dararat Na Lampoon, a foundation consultant, assisted in handing out the donations.

THAI’s Goodwill Flight is one of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects focused on helping and supporting society, communities, and underprivileged Thai people.
