Thailands biggest music festival on the beach to stage in Pattaya this weekend

music-festivalThe Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is organising the country’s biggest musical extravaganza, the Pattaya International Music Festival 2015, on stages set up along Pattaya Beach Road from 20-22 March, 2015.

Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, Governor of TAT said, “The year marks the festival’s 13th anniversary, making it a well-established event that attracts music lovers from around the world.

 

Over the years, the event has helped create a more positive image of Pattaya as a destination, complete with a range of modern infrastructure, high-standard accommodation and fascinating tourist attractions.”

The Pattaya International Music Festival 2015 will feature performances by Thai and international artists at two stages along the Beach Road of Pattaya, about an hour and a half’s drive from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

 

The Main Stage will be located next to the Hard Rock Hotel and another, State 2, will be near the Walking Street in South Pattaya.

The concert is set to pass on the Thai way of happiness to all music lovers with a range of different genres of music, including pop, hip hop, rock and jazz. Over the three days, the first bands will go on stage at around 19.00 hrs. and the music will continue until about midnight.

Among the leading international and local artists coming to perform this year are Buddha Bless, Slot Machine, Retrospect, Big Ass, Gold Red, Playground and Mocca Garden.

Mr. Thawatchai said, “As well as the concerts themselves, we would like to encourage music lovers and travellers to spend a few days in Pattaya, and take the opportunity to visit the destination’s variety of attractions, including those recently opened like Cartoon Network Amazone, and the popular ones; such as, Sanctuary of Truth, Mini Siam and Art in Paradise Interactive Art Museum.

 

If you prefer sea, sand, and sun, then just relax on the beach or hop over to Ko Lan.”
