The Els Club at Dubai Sports City has received global recognition for excellence with its pro-shop being named by the prestigious Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) as one of the top 100 outlets in the world for 2014.
And what makes this Platinum Award especially impressive is that The Els Club’s pro-shop is the only location outside of North America to receive it.
The AGM is an international, professional association of golf-related merchandisers and vendors. Founded in 1989, it has more than 850 active individual members, of which 30 per cent come from the US PGA (Professional Golf Association).
Commenting on the award, The Els Club General Manager Chris Brown said: “The Els Club would like to thank the Association of Golf Merchandisers for recognising our pro-shop with this Platinum Award.
“The fact we are the only pro-shop outside of North America to get this recognition is remarkable but it is also a recognition of the quality of our merchandising, the service and the high-end brands we carry.
“What is especially pleasing in receiving this award is that The Els Club pro-shop is managed by the club itself, not an outside party.
“We take huge pride in every single interaction we have with customers and the fact this has been recognised in this way says a huge amount for the way we go about our business.”
The Platinum Award recognises excellence in goods and services within the pro-shop and reflects the multitude of services available at The Els Club.
On sale, as you would expect, are major golf brands such as Taylormade, Callaway, Ping and Titleist, amongst others, but the shop also specialises in luxury golf products, lifestyle products, infant and baby products and streetwear and eyewear.
And with brands including Ralph Lauren, J Lindberg, Galvin Green, Druh Belts, Leupold, Nike Golf, Adidas and Maui Jim there is plenty of quality available for even the most discerning shopper.
On top of all that, the pro-shop’s opening hours add an additional touch of the user-friendly, spanning 14 hours every single day from 6.30am to 8.30pm.
Rental clubs are available from the knowledge and trained staff and, as the ultimate touch of class, custom and specialist orders are catered for and personalised orders can also be dealt with, upon request.
“It all adds up the complete package, we are proud of it and we are extremely proud to have been recognised in this way,” added Mr Brown.
