An emergency landing was made by a FedEx plane in Nashville, Tennessee after smoke was detected in the cockpit.

The plane had departed from Memphis International Airport about an hour earlier and was headed to Manchester, New Hampshire.

No injuries were reported.

Small plane makes emergency landing on beach near Lewes
Another small plane made an emergency landing on a beach near Lewes at Gordons Pond, near the Herring Point overlooking Cape Henlopen State Park. The plane had two passengers onboard.

The state police confirmed that there were no injuries.

The incident is under investigation by state police and the state Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.

Dallas-Fort Worth bound American Airlines plane makes emergency landing due to unruly passenger
An American Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix due to an unruly passenger.

The flight was from San Diego to Dallas-Fort Worth. The passenger was removed by police and the flight was allowed to take off again.

The emergency landing happened within hours of the TSA’s announcement of enhanced security measures blamed on a new type of bomb threat from the Middle East.
