The tourism and development department of the Tokyo Government in Japan has planned to overseas promotion campaigns to attract greater number of foreign visitors to the Japanese capital. Tokyo will conduct seminars and business meetings in Indonesia and Vietnam to woo more visitors. Tokyo City Promotion 2014 will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia and Hanoi, Vietnam.
Tokyo will cooperate with private sector businesses involved with Tokyo tourism to introduce the city as a tourist destination as well as to encourage the travel industry professionals and media to develop and sell tour package to Tokyo. The contents of this promotion are Business Meetings and Tourism Seminars for the travel industry and media.
In addition, the Tourism Seminars will be held to provide alluring and latest tourism information as a charming travel destination.
In Jakarta, the Tourism Seminar for media will be carried out on February 10 at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta. Next day, the Tourism Seminar for travel agents as well as business meeting will be organized.
In Hanoi, the Tourism Seminar for travel agents and Business Meeting will be held on February 13, at Melia Hanoi and the Tourism Seminar for media will be carried out on February 14 at the same venue.
