The first Port Triathlon took place on Friday 27 September 2013. It was an athletic event that was held at Atlas Park in the Western Port Area. At Port of Amsterdam employees rowed two kilometers, cycled 20 kilometers and ran four kilometers. Both the organization of the event and the performance of the participants were outstanding. The Port Triathlon served as a pilot and has proven thatthis event has the potential to become an annual event.

The Port Triathlon was a pilot and at Port of Amsterdam employees had the opportunity to take part in the event. It is hoped That A Port Triathlon will be Organised in future for all companies and employees working in the port area.
