tourism-new-zealandTourism New Zealand (TNZ) says the resignation of Martin Snedden from the Tourism Industry Association (TIA) is a real loss for the sector.
Chief Executive Kevin Bowler, who is also on the Board of TIA says since stepping into the TIA role in June 2012, Martin has progressed the organisation from being simply a voice for the sector, to also contributing to an enduring strategic growth framework for its future direction.
“Martin’s leadership in successfully gathering wide sector support and buy-in to develop the Tourism 2025 growth framework was an important piece of work that demanded a high level of alignment and co-operation between all parts of the sector.
“Martin deserves a considerable degree of credit for making this happen.
“The Tourism 2025 growth framework aligns well with TNZ’s own marketing strategy and the thinking is being incorporated into our next business plan.
“We wish Martin every success in his new role supporting New Zealand’s interests in world cricket.”
