Tourism Projects in Madhya Pradesh

The Indian Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture & Tourism Shri Shripad Yesso Naik has said that development, promotion and implementation of tourism projects is primarily the responsibility of the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations including Madhya Pradesh. Ministry of Tourism (MoT) provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for tourism projects,

which are complete as per scheme guidelines and identified in consultation with the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations subject to availability of funds and utilisation of funds released earlier. The status of CFA extended for all tourism projects including the projects related to historical and archaeological importance and tourism centres in the State of Madhya Pradesh alongwith likely period of completion is at Annexure.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today Shri Naik said, as per the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho, Chitrakoot, Bharhut, Baidan, Bansagar, Amarkantak and Orchha are already included in following projects for which the Ministry of Tourism has extended CFA as detailed below:
