Extra carriages will be provided on a number of trains between Derby and London, and two additional trains will provide return journeys from Derby to London St Pancras and supply over 800 extra seats between the two eight-carriage trains.  The departure and arrival times for the two trains are listed below:

Tickets for these services are priced at £66 for an adult Super Off-Peak Return and just £33 for a child Super Off-Peak Return.  Families and Friends travelling in a group of four can make the most of the Family and Friends Railcard, priced at just £30, which provides 33% off adult rail fares and 60% off child rail fares, and has a validity period of 12 months.

Family and Friends Railcards can be purchased at any ticket office and could save you £53 based on two adults and two children travelling on a Super Off-Peak Return ticket from Derby – London St Pancras, resulting in the cost of your family journey from Derby to London costing £145, including the cost of your railcard.

East Midlands Trains provides two trains an hour between Derby and London, and whilst tickets have been selling fast, there’s still availability on a number of trains.

Neil Micklethwaite, Customer Service & Commercial Director for East Midlands Trains, said: “We know that this will be a memorable day for all Derby County fans and as a Derby-based company, we want to provide our support in making sure the day gets off to a great start.

“We’ve seen a real surge in ticket sales for Saturday, and we’re expecting many trains to be busy.  However, the extra service confirmed today will provide more than 800 additional seats for fans travelling to London and we’re also adding extra carriages to many trains to and from London, providing a total of around 2,000 additional seats throughout the day on Saturday.

“With the final 1,200 tickets for the play-off final being sold this morning, we know many people will still be thinking about transport to and from the match.  We’ll be selling tickets right up until Saturday so people will still be able to get to London with East Midlands Trains.

“It’s a great achievement for Derby County to reach the play-off finals and we hope all the fans enjoy a successful day at Wembley.”
