unnamed-16Gold Coast-based resort group, ULTIQA Resorts has acquired the management rights for the prominent Broadbeach holiday landmark, Beach Haven Resort (pictured).

The addition of the 32-level Beach Haven Resort boosts ULTIQA’s resort stable to five, which includes two other properties in Broadbeach (Air on Broadbeach and Freshwater Point), Rothbury on Ann in Brisbane and Shearwater Resort at Kings Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast – equating to approximately 650 rooms across its growing portfolio.

Managing director of ULTIQA Group, Mark Henry said the purchase of Beach Haven Resort is a significant addition to the group’s portfolio and complemented its long-term expansion strategy.

“While there were a number of national and multi-national chains bidding for Beach Haven’s management rights, I believe ULTIQA’s management style, heavy focus on guest services and delivering returns to owners were key factors in our group securing the rights.
“When the rights were released to the market, we were extremely bullish given Beach Haven’s prime location so close to the beach and its never-to-be-built-out ocean and parkland views.”

Beach Haven Resort will be rebranded under the ULTIQA Resorts banner and Mr Henry said the group would continue to focus on the resort’s core leisure markets, while also expanding its reach into the nearby Gold Coast Convention Centre’s delegate market and further afield into China and Korea’s family travel segments.

Beach Haven Resort features 157 one- two- and three bedroom apartments and sub penthouses: other guest facilities include three pools, spa, tennis courts, barbecue and garden pergolas, tour desk and free Wi Fi.

All apartments have garden and ocean views from its prime location on Old Burleigh Road opposite Kurrawa Park and within short strolling distance to Broadbeach’s vibrant dining scene, casino, and convention centre.

ULTIQA Resorts was formed in 2010 and is a joint venture partnership between Mark Henry and South African-based property management, resort, residential and commercial development company, Beekman Group that was established in 1971.

“ULTIQA has an established and extensive network of online, industry and international supply chains, which combined with our own ULTIQA Lifestyle members and joint venture partner, where we can tap into their worldwide holiday membership division, we are confident in continuing and building on Beach Haven’s popularity within the family and leisure segments,” Mr Henry said.

“We’re delighted with our latest resort addition which complements the ULTIQA brand and are continually looking at and assessing new property acquisitions in Australia’s key leisure destinations, with Sydney and Melbourne also firmly on our expansion radar,” he added.

ULTIQA Beach Haven Resort has introduced a special introductory agent/industry offer starting from AUD$142.50 per night based on minimum two night stays (up to 4 guests) and subject to availability and black out periods.
