History of Viator’s Travel with an Insider Videos
Rewind to 2012 when Viator first sent two crews of two videographers out into the world to record their travel experiences as part of the “Win Your Dream Travel Job Contest”.

The resulting videos, showcasing the best of North America and Europe, have received industry praise (2013 Webby and Travel Weekly honors) and thousands of views by travelers looking for the best things to do.

From kayaking and cliff diving on the Big Island to exploring side streets on a Black Cab Taxi tour of London travelers can preview many of Viator’s most popular tours and activities before they book them.

Travel Videos and Search as Travel Influencers
According to the Google-commissioned study*, “The 2013 Traveler,” 51% of leisure travelers said they watch online travel videos and of those travelers, 65% are looking for activity ideas in a particular destination. Viator’s revamped YouTube Channel – YouTube.com/ViatorTravel – provides an additional access point for travelers to search and view the exclusive video content featuring tours, attractions, destination overviews, special deals and promotions. Inspired viewers can immediately begin planning their next trip via YouTube with access to the Viator Tours & Activities App, emails, deep links and more.
