In order to lure passengers, Vietnam Airlines is offering promotional airfares on several international routes that connect Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, Frankfurt and other European cities, reports Vietnam News Agency (VNA).
Interested passengers can book their tickets until June 15 for travel from now until Oct 31, the airline said in a statement.
The national flag carrier registered a year-on-year increase of 13.3 percent in the past three months which sums to an estimated consolidated revenue of more than 19 trillion VND (US$851.3 million). With this, it has reached 26.4 per cent of the yearly target.
During the three months, more than 4.6 million passengers and nearly 61,000 tonnes of goods flew on the airline which is 1.6 percent and 11.2 percent higher than its plan, respectively.
The pre-tax consolidated profit is more than 1.071 trillion VND, a rise of 32.5 percent compared with the same period last year.
