Representatives from Visit Kent and Canterbury Cathedral are travelling to the US for Destination Britain North America (DBNA), an event dedicated to connecting North American travel product buyers to British suppliers.

“North America is a key target for most leading destinations, and for Kent the product market fits in perfectly. DBNA provides the perfect opportunity for us to build new relationships and cement existing ones,” said Sandra Matthews-Marsh, Chief Executive of Visit Kent.

“We have 75 confirmed appointments with buyers over the two day event, and having the chance to meet key buyers face-to-face like this is invaluable.

“The timing is also perfect given the high interest from the American market in the next year’s 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, in which Kent played a key role and for which a huge array of events is planned.

“We will be putting in a lot of hard work over the course of the event, and we’re confident we will reap the benefits in the years to come.”

Destination Britain North America takes place in Las Vegas from September 14-16.
