topbonus_Ostrich-1024x659The ostrich is the biggest flightless bird on Earth. But now, thanks to the airberlin frequent flyer program topbonus, a red ostrich is fulfilling its dream of flying. With this new key visual, topbonus particurlarly addresses the infrequent flyers. In its tenth anniversary year, the airberlin loyalty program is extending its services to members and in future will offer even more opportunities to turn miles into awards, even if you don’t have very many of them.

“In our tenth anniversary year as airberlin’s frequent flyer program, we are taking a new approach and will have something to offer even flight guests who only fly, for example, once a year to go on holiday. They can collect valuable miles with more than 120 partners, for example when shopping or filling up with fuel, and these can then be converted into award flights. In addition, this year all topbonus members will benefit from new partnerships and mileage campaigns,” explains Marcus Puffer, General Manager at topbonus.

airberlin fans on facebook.com/airberlin have the opportunity until 4th April 2014 to vote for a name for the topbonus ostrich. Users can choose from five suggested names. topbonus will enter all members in a prize draw to win five x 10,000 award miles. Furthermore, all new topbonus members who register at airberlin.com/1500miles before 27th April 2014 will be credited with up to 1,500 welcome miles.

Currently, more than 3.4 million flight guests participate in the topbonus Program and enjoy the exclusive benefits provided by the numerous topbonus partners, such as hotels, car rental, insurance and magazines. Thanks to the partnership with Etihad Airways and oneworld® membership, topbonus has now become even more attractive to frequent flyers: holders of a topbonus Status card can earn status miles on all flights with Etihad Airways and have worldwide access to the airport lounges of Etihad and oneworld. Together, airberlin and Etihad Airways offer their guests 228 destinations in 84 countries. Approximately 900 destinations in 150 countries are available in the oneworld network.
