WestJet announced the launch of new daily service between Victoria and Vancouver. The service will be operated by WestJet Encore’s fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.

“This type of flying demonstrates the versatility of the Q400 aircraft,” said Ferio Pugliese, Executive Vice-President, WestJet, and President, WestJet Encore. “In addition to new destinations, we are now able to effectively connect cities that have WestJet service but not between each other. This type of use opens up many new possibilities for us to serve even more Canadians in the future.”

“We are looking forward to providing this new service because we know there is a great demand for it,” said Chris Avery, WestJet Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development. “We know that many people travel frequently between Victoria and Vancouver, most often by ferry. With our new 78-seat Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, this will be an affordable, quick and comfortable option for any traveller.”
