On the busiest travel day of the year, Canada witnessed a huge setback in the travel services due to the freezing winter storms. Toronto weather snarled heavily to force holiday vacationers to double check all their travel plans. However, according to the weather forecasters, these freezing rain might just be the beginning.
A possibility of a major ice storm is looming large on the Greater Toronto Area on Saturday or Sunday. Freezing rainfall is making the streets slippery and tricky to commute in Toronto.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning advising that ice accumulation in the GTA could be nearly half a centimeter on Friday, with the precipitation into the evening.
