UAE’s RAK Airways engages with needs of society

autism-and-the-cause-of-autistic-childrenEven as the United Arab Emirates is preparing itself to celebrate the 42nd National Day, it is a time of reflection on how to contribute effectively to the UAE society. RAK Airways has stepped up its presence in community welfare activities to promote the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates.

At a recent community welfare event, it was interesting to see the RAK Department of Civil Aviation’s top person who is also the Vice-Chairman of RAK Airways lead ‘Walk and make a difference’, held at Cove Rotana, Ras Al Khaimah with the support of UAE Red Crescent and 21 sponsors to help community realize and recognize autism and the cause of autistic children.

H.E. Engineer Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation Ras Al Khaimah and Vice-Chairman of RAK Airways in his added capacity as Board Member of UAE Olympic Committee and Member of the Executive Office of UAE Olympic Committee led a gathering of well-wishers.

In a press statement, H.E. Engineer Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi said, ‘Even as the nation is gearing up to celebrate the 42nd National Day of the United Arab, it is important to prioritize the needs of our society. Children are the future of any society and autism is a real cause in UAE. We need to step up our regional and national efforts towards recognizing autism and supporting the children and their families affected by it. RAK Airways takes pride in recognizing the needs of its society and supporting the cause.’
