Siemens to consolidate management of compliance organization

Siemens-300x47Klaus Moosmayer has been named to head Siemens’ entire compliance organization as Chief Compliance Officer, effective January 1, 2014.

Since 2007, Moosmayer has played a key role in building up Siemens’ new, globally recognized compliance system. Since 2010, he has been responsible for all legal and regulatory-related compliance duties at Siemens. Klaus Moosmayer is considered nationally and internationally to be a leading compliance expert. At the beginning of November 2013, he was appointed by the OECD’s Business and Industry Advisory Committee to serve as the new honorary head of its anti-corruption taskforce.
Hans-Jörg Grundmann, the current Chief Compliance Officer, is leaving the company at the end of the year and retiring. Siemens’ compliance organization is part of its global legal department, which – following the departure of Peter Solmssen – will be headed by the new General Counsel Andreas C. Hoffmann and report directly to Siemens President and CEO Joe Kaeser, effective January 1, 2014.
Andreas von Máriássy of the law firm “von Máriássy Dr. von Stetten Rechtsanwälte” has been appointed the new company ombudsman, effective the same date. So far André Große Vorholt has served in this capacity.
