Five-missing-Japanese-divers-found-in-BaliThe five Japanese women out of the seven who had disappeared during a diving excursion off the Indonesian island of Bali last week were found alive and were rescued.

The women were reported missing since three days and are now being treated in a Bali hospital.

It is not yet known as to where the women were found. The agency has not yet divulged the details.

The survivors have not yet said anything about what happened to them.

Fishermen found four of the women and alerted authorities, and a rescue boat was sent for them.

A fifth survivor was later found in the same area, and a search and rescue helicopter picked her up, the rescue agency said.

The seven Japanese women — two dive instructors and five tourists — failed to return to the surface on Friday 14.02.14, after a dive near the Indonesian islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, just southeast of Bali.

The captain who accompanied the seven, hired a Yellow Scuba boat and did not work for the company.

The captain however told newsmen that the weather was good when the divers entered the water.

But after 15 minutes it became cloudy, and the divers could not be traced. His efforts proved to be futile when he tried to find them.

Heavy rains with strong winds were reported in the area as this is monsoon time in Bali and such weather is frequent in the region at this time of the year.
