The body of a German tourist, who was killed when she lost her footing and plunged 30 metres to her death from the summit of Mount Kinabalu, was flown to her country on February 12.The body of Victoria Paulsen, 22, was taken to the Kolombong Funeral Parlor at Jalan Lintas in Kota Kinabalu from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital mortuary where an autopsy was carried out on February 11.
The victim, who was studying at the Xiamen University, China was waiting to catch a glimpse of the sunrise view from the mountain peak about 6am, when she slipped and fell to her death.An autopsy report revealed that Paulsen sustained head injuries as a result of the fall.Ranau police chief DSP Abdul Rahman Kassim said, the case was classified as sudden death.
