Just in time for spring, Park 75 at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta introduces an all natural lip balm to the third floor Chef’s Cabinet. Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker’s hand-made Bee Balm is filled with Park 75 honey, beeswax, cocoa butter and coconut oil,
providing nourishing lip treatment without the addition of chemicals found in most lip balms.
Ever since the farm-to-table movement hit Atlanta, there’s been a lot of buzz coming out of Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. Chef Gerstenecker brought his beekeeping hobby to life with the installation of a bee apiary on the fifth-floor Terrace Garden. To date, the bee apiary has produced hundreds of pounds (hundreds of kilograms) of honey that have been used in everything from menu items in Park 75 to treatments at The Spa.
But what about the leftover beeswax? Beeswax’s natural ability to lock in moisture, foster cells and protect skin from damaging environmental factors prompted Chef Gerstenecker to produce the lip care line for the Hotel.
“Bees have an invaluable impact on Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta,” says Chef Gerstenecker. “They continue to inspire our food culture, our products and our vision for a more sustainable and organic world.”
Park 75 Bee Balm retails for USD 8.00 each and can be purchased in the Chef’s Cabinet on the third floor of Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta.
Other Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta honey products and services available include: the Honey Delight Spa treatment (a honey-oatmeal scrub followed by a honey oil massage), bottled honey and salted honey caramels.
