This May, while school-aged kids are still in session, parents with little ones can get a head start on Orlando’s must-see attractions, seasonal benefits and great deals.

 
Must-Sees for Kids Five and Under:

DUPLO Valley – LEGOLAND Florida brings the LEGO DUPLO line of preschool building toys to life this May with a brand-new area featuring a train, mini tractor ride and water play area. The park also features several rides geared towards kids between 34-40 inches tall.

 

Festival of Fantasy Parade – An all-new daily parade at Magic Kingdom Park featuring popular characters from hit animated features like Disney’s “Frozen” and Disney-Pixar’s “Brave” along with nearly 100 performers and seven unique floats.
 
New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park – Invites little princesses and princes to meet Rapunzel from Disney’s “Tangled,” and tell stories alongside Belle from “Beauty and the Beast.” Rides like Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and The Barnstormer family-style coaster provide mild thrills, while Princess Fairytale Hall brings little ones face-to-face with beloved Disney Royalty.
 
Antarctica: Empire of Penguin at SeaWorld Orlando – Young animal-lovers take a “Mild Expedition” onboard the park’s newest and coldest attraction, which ends with a face-to-face encounter with a colony of penguins.
 
Shamu’s Happy Harbor at SeaWorld Orlando – Adventure-seekers will love the kid-friendly Shamu Express coaster, Swishy Fishies mild teacup ride and the Sea Carousel.
Universal’s Superstar Parade – The streets of Universal Studios Florida transform into a theme-park-wide performance stage as kids are invited to sing and dance along with characters from Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora the Explorer,” as well as favorites from the hit animated films “Hop” and “Despicable Me.”
 
Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure – The pages of author Dr. Seuss’s most popular stories come alive with rides like The Cat in the Hat and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Family Suites: on the Rise in Orlando

A growing number of Orlando resorts offer family suite options, giving parents more space to relax after fun-filled days, along with key amenities like kitchenettes with refrigerators to make caring for little ones easier. Opening March 31, Cabana Bay Beach Resort will add 900 family suite options for a total of 1,800 rooms. The retro-themed property at Universal Orlando Resort features a 10-lane bowling alley and a 10,000-square-foot, zero-entry pool with interactive kids play area. Additional family-suite options include Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, with 1,120 family suites designed after “Finding Nemo,” “Cars” and “The Lion King;” and Nickelodeon Suites Resort with Nick-themed kid suites, character meet and greets and two massive pools with a daily mass “sliming” from the lagoon slide tower.
