Brussels South Charleroi Airport Announces A 60% Passenger Increase In February

bsca.logoBrussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) today announced its passengers statistics for the month of February.

The airport welcomed 405,023 passengers which represents an increase of 6% on the 382,316 passengers recorded in the same month last year.

This increase is in line with the expectations of the airport management despite the current difficult economic climate.

This increasing passenger count can be explained as a result of the satisfaction of all airport users (plane ticket prices challenging all competitors, easy access, speed of operations, an airport on a human scale) and the loyalty of passengers to the airlines operating from BSCA.

According to the most recent passenger survey carried out by BSCA*, 20% of passengers said that they had travelled twice in 2013 and 21% between 3 and 5 times.

The airport management is continuing in its efforts to expand the range of flights on offer.

As a reminder, the new routes already announced for 2014 are: Prague operated by Jetairfly from 4th April, Skopje operated by Wizzair from 3rd April and the routes served by the new arrival Pegasus Airlines which will be flying daily to Istanbul from 30th March and connecting to no fewer than 34 destinations including Dubai, Beirut, Tel Aviv and Tbilisi, and Thomas Cook which will be flying to Antalya from 28th June.
