Airbus Americas Seeking Manufacturing Engineer Paint Coordinator & Ground Test Inspectors for Mobile Assembly Line

sky_clouds_neutral_news_illustration_17Airbus Americas and its hiring partner AIDT have posted two more open positions for its assembly line in Mobile, Alabama. The company is seeking one Manufacturing Engineer Paint Coordinator and six Ground Test Inspectors.

 
The Manufacturing Engineer Paint Coordinator will be Airbus’ on-site interface to the company chosen to provide painting services at the assembly line, including defining the work specification and insuring completion of the work specification-paint process, claims process, building lease and maintenance. Candidates should have five or more years of customer/supplier experience and a degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, preferably in the aviation field. A minimum of one year of training abroad is required.

 
Ground Test Inspectors will be responsible for planning, executing and validating ground tests of aircraft assembled in the Mobile-based assembly line. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience as an Avionics Engineer or Quality Test Engineer in aircraft systems plus a minimum of three years troubleshooting on aircraft systems, among other qualifications. A minimum of nine months training abroad is required.
 
On July 2, 2012, Airbus announced it is building an assembly line for its A320 Family of aircraft in Mobile. The groundbreaking for the assembly line was on April 8, 2013, and major construction is underway. Hiring for manufacturing jobs will continue throughout 2014.
