First edition of the World Amateur Golf Audi Meeting in Bassin Bleu

20140418-2221_m-213x300The first edition of the World Amateur Golf Audi Meeting in Bassin Bleu on Reunion Island will take place from April 19-21, 2014. This international event will host players from South Africa, France, and the Vanilla Islands.

Reunion Island will receive nearly 97 amateur players at the Bassin Bleu Golf Course, including 17 ladies and 80 men who will compete on the sunny greens Villele in Saint-Gilles-les-Hauts. This is the highest participation of players from the first series tournament held in Reunion.

 
Many favorites will take part in the competition: the winner of the 2013 edition Mouniama Johan (Golf Bassin Bleu), the champion of the Meeting as Franck Michel (Colorado Golf Club), Benjamin Kedoshim (Golf Club Bourbon), the 3rd the 2013 Christmas Ian Espitalier (Mauritius), Josh De Klerk (Western province – national Team South Africa less than 20 years), the winner of the Western Province junior Ian Snyman (Western province), Trent Haantjes (Gauteng – Africa team South junior), and Johan Mouniama who won the title in 2013.

 

For the ladies, the victory should go to Samantha Barber (Western Province – No. 7 ladies South Africa) but local players, Alexandra Delavigne, Charlotte Liautier, and Manon Lassalarie, are endeavoring to keep the advantage by way of knowledge of the course.
