The average temperature in northern Vietnam during the day ranged from 27 to 30 degrees celsius, except for the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien and Lai Chau where the temperature ranged from 32 to 34 degrees celsius.
On April 16th, the northern region was sunny with average temperatures ranging from 31 to 34 degrees celsius. The rain is expected to ease.
Temperatures can be even warmer in northwestern provinces, typically up to 35 or 36 degrees celsius.
Rainfall tends to be higher in southern and central highlands’ provinces with showers and thunderstorms sometimes occuring in the afternoons and evenings.
