The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) hosted a series of events to promote the bilateral trade, investment and cultural ties that exist between Australia and the MENA region from 13-17 April, in Dubai. The Australia Unlimited Culinary Cook Off was a showcase of hospitality education expertise where EAHM competed against other culinary colleges based in the United Arab Emirates.

The competition consisted of two rounds from which four finalists were selected after presenting a dish with a mystery steak cooked within 35 minutes. In the final round, two participants from EAHM competed against the other UAE contenders. The winning prize was a return ticket to Australia with Qantas Airways along with a week’s training with the Executive Chef Terry Styles from Conrad Hotel in Dubai.
