Two homes were set on fire as a military jet crashed on a residential street in southern California desert community. No injuries have been reported so far.
The pilot was ejected safely and was taken to the hospital for checkups, no ground injuries were reported.
Two houses caught fire after the crash on Wednesday evening 04.06.14 in Imperial, population 15,000, near the US-Mexico border about 90 miles east of San Diego.
The jet was a Harrier from the Marine Corps air base in Yuma, Arizona. This is the second crash of a Harrier jet from the Yuma air base near the Gila River Indian community in Arizona, south of Phoenix. The plane broke up in flames but no injuries were reported.
