As we approach a new academic year, the airport hosted meetings between the principals of the Moscow Region schools and Domodedovo Training representatives to promote cooperation between the airport and educational institutions in the framework of the Inflow target training.
During the meeting, the participants conducted dialogues: the airport officials told the principals about the concept of the Inflow program, its advantages, and answered their questions concerning the career-oriented training and the terms and conditions of interaction with educational institutions. Teachers were able to see from the inside how the largest airport of the country operates, visiting the platform, and the passenger and cargo terminals. Participants of the event had a look at the dog and ornithological services. The heads of educational institutions were also offered a tour to the airport museum.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport is planning to significantly increase the number of participants in the targeted training project, and that is why the air hub is working on attracting students and schoolchildren to the Inflow program and offers cooperation to educational institutions. In addition, airport experts are actively involved in organizing and conducting competitions, round tables and other activities for the students.
“Thanks to the meeting, we have developed an understanding of what an airport is. Of course, today there is hardly a person who has never flown on an airplane. However, you see an absolutely different picture when you find yourself on the other side and can watch the work of various services of the airport in the apron,” says Tatiana Litvinova, the Principal of Razvilkovskaya Secondary School. The Inflow Program created by Moscow Domodedovo Airport is very timely and useful. We are really interested in cooperation with the airport as part of this project, which offers children great opportunities in finding themselves and planning their future.”
On August 21, 2014, as a result of the meeting between Marina Zakharova, the Minister of Education of the Moscow Region and Dmitry Gorodetsky, the Head of Administration of Domodedovo Municipal District with the top managers of the air hub, there was signed an agreement on cooperation as part of preparation of young professionals under the Inflow program.
This gives additional benefits to the participants of the educational project of Moscow Domodedovo Airport: in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement, the Ministry of Education provides support for the young professionals training program of the airport. The air hub, in its turn, guarantees that it will employ graduates, which is an effective practice in terms of human resources policy.
Cooperation between Domodedovo Airport and educational institutions creates favorable conditions for training of qualified personnel and improving the image of blue-collar jobs of the aviation industry in the region. Cooperation with the Inflow program is an effective social partnership for educational institutions and a chance for talented and motivated young professionals to become part of the team of the best airport in Russia.
