Now stay connected on Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain which is all ready to offer free wireless internet. Eight sites which include the summit will offer the connection. The facility will be effective from the 10 July to September.
European and American tourists while hiking up the mountains have felt the need for internet. The officials decided to provide this facility to attract tourists from other regions as well.
The internet facility will not only relate the immediate experiences of hikers but will have another important benefit, hikers can find out about weather conditions to ensure their safety. The facility is being provided by local authorities who are working with telecom companies to provide and set up the service.
Many feel that there is already too much risk on the mountains and one needs to take extra caution. WI-Fi may prove hazardous as trekkers hooked to social media may get inattentive and meet with injuries and accidents.
